She smiled as she woke up, heading straight towards her closet, knowing that Auraka would wake up as soon as she was out of the bed. Seemed to be how things were at the moment for the pair of them. Yesterday had been a beautiful day. Now though there were things to see to. She smiled though as she opened the door and pulled out the long light lime green dress that she would be wearing. "You up yet?" she called.

"No..." he muttered, sounding tired and still half-asleep. He sat up though, hair ruffled and sitting in odd directions and he yawned, scooting out of the bed and approached her, hugging her tightly from behind. "Morning love..." he whispered, kissing her cheek before pulling away to get ready for the Coronation.
His amour was freshly polished, cleaned and gleamed until light shone in every direction. The purple crest of his past family on his chest proudly, sword by his side. He rolled his shoulders, yawning once more feeling rather comfortable in it, despite what most said.
Blue eyes flickered over to Gem, for he had hunted the night before and wondered what she was wearing today. He saw her bare back, noticing a bird shaped tattoo upon her shoulder. Approaching her once more from behind, his gentle fingers traced its outline. "I've never seen that before..." he murmured quietly "whatever does it mean?"

She knew when he hunted, though she did not like it that much that he was out there, hurting something else. It was an annoying thing for her, seeing as he would not listen to her. There was nothing she could do though to stop him, and nothing she would try would work on him. He refused every time she offered.
“I wish you wouldn't hunt outside the walls,” she said.
She smiled though as she undid the bag containing her dress. Though she was happy to have him with her, she knew that there were some things about him she just did not get at all. “I won't be wearing armour this time,” she said. “Even though we're going to have to fight tonight. Well I guess at first this morning I have to, but after that it comes off.”
Gaelira had been helpful there. She smiled as she moved towards one of the other rooms, after getting a lighter tunic on and other things. She would not be wearing the dress yet. Not till after the fight. “We have to fight my parents, in a double duel. You're against my mother, I'm against my father. We have to defend each other though as well.”
“It's something that I was born with. Before my sisters and I were born, a spell was used so that we would be born with the silver dove as a tattoo on our shoulder blades. Its a symbol of the fact we're born into the royal family. A way of determining if someone is a true heir or not. It comes in handy, no one else can get the same mark completely. My mother has the same bird on her shoulder, so did her sister. We've always had them, we just cover them when needed.”
She reached down, carefully buckling on all her white dragon scale armour. It was light of weight but very very very resilient. Not much would get through the hard scales. “It would seem Gaelira thought I would need this. Then again all the riders have armour the same colour as they dragon. Laura'll be wearing gold, Zelphar's wearing emerald.”
She sighed though, struggling to do up the top near her collar. "A little help here? I can never get that bit."

Auraka sighed "and I wish I wasn't what I am..." he muttered and shook his head "I wont take the chance of hurting you Gem...I love you to much to even think of loosing you...."
He cracked into a grin about the battle against her parents, he knew that they were a good team, having years of experience but Gem and Auraka worked together like the wheels of a cart. They moved perfectly together, never clashing in their movements.
A small smile played at his lips as he helped her buckle up the last of her armor, his own was still being made due to the fact that he was still only just a rider. Rasjar having only found him a few mere weeks before.
"So..any children we have will have that mark there?" he asked, unable to see the mark no longer due to the armor covering it.

“How many times do I have to tell you it doesn't hurt me?” she smiled though. They would talk about this after Adurna was dealt with that afternoon. “You've never hurt me.” it was not something that she was all that concerned about. Never had anything hurt that he'd done to her. Well, not since he became what he was now.
She smiled and chuckled. “I know we can win this fight,” she said. “though its going to be a very even fight, we're as skilled as they are, but if I know my father, I know he'll have some tricks up this sleeve. They don't have the burden of defending each other, only we do.” Not that they had not worked together before. “Good thing we practised working as a team that way earlier.”
her parents were not going to know what hit them. “Thanks for helping. And yes any kids we have will get that mark on them. Spell does not need casting any more, its pretty much hereditary now. Been happening since all of us elves first came here to Nuban.”

"Hmm..." he said, mind drifting slightly at the thought of children. He had always wanted to be a father, or at least a father figure. He loved kids, loved playing with them and generally acting like a 'big kid' so he was told. He missed the children of Taror, playing with the younger ones in the street. It had been years since he had even thought about it truly, due to all the hours of training he had put in to become what he was tonight. A General. Though, he never imagined his children would bet he next king or queen.
He shrugged, not wanting to get into a fight with her right now about it. For now, he was content with only animals. The thought of drinking from her was pushed far away.
Kissing her cheek, he agreed quietly. "We make a good team," he mumbled, smiling slightly "since the day we met.."

Gem "One day there will be kids around here," she said, smiling. "We're going to win, I've seen it." Today was going to be their day to shine and she knew that. Things were going to be going in their direction, no matter what things happened today. This was going to be a long but interesting day for them. First the duel against Laura and Zelphar, then there was the actual ceremony and then they were all moving to Adurna to help get people out. Long, interesting and tiring. Little did she know she would see her parents die in front of her,
Drannor He sighed as he moved aroudn the house, strapping on all of his very well polished armour. "Well I guess Auraka outranks me in one way," he sighed. "Though he's still one of my group." Looking over at Sahar he asked, "You nearly ready? It's starting soon."

He hugged her gently, nodding. “I know,” he whispered lips brushing against her cheek “and even though you have seen it and I trust your abilities, I still cannot stop the worry which flutters in my chest. He smiled softly, just holding her for a moment longer before letting her go. “We better get going..”
Sahar laughed quietly, despite her headache which was slowly going and smiled, more colour in her cheeks then the day before. “The kids are ready, I’ve been waiting for you,” she said, knowing that Drannor was still getting used to the idea what Auraka, several years younger than him, would be out ranking him. Only for a short while though. “When we move to Taror, you will both be of the same rank,” she told him, helping him with a loose strap upon his back. “Now, come on, we must leave.” She kissed his cheek lightly, a child of each hip and started the walk down the street.

Gem Gem chuckled, knowing her cousin was looking forwards to this, but also not looking forwards to it. "Drannor's not pleased that you'll be of a higher rank than him for a short time." She smiled. "ONce he's gone back to Taror you won't anymore, you'll be in the same ranking." Smiling though she took his hand and led the way to the sparring area. She could see people finding seats in the stands that had been erected for the day with magic. Though she was also surprised by another figure waiting at the edge of the fields. He was half horse and half man. The horse half of him was a dark glossy chestnut, matching his chestnut hair. "Eltaor?" "Greetings my lady. I was sent here to over see thigns for my own people, and to speak with you once things are sorted out," Eltaor said. "It is nothing urgent though, so I can wait around." "Thank you, Eltaor." It was then they could see Laura and Zelphar waiting for them.
Drannor "I know that. Though its still hard for me to accept even for a short time," he replied. He smiled though and kisswed her gently. "Be glad you don't have to wear armour all day like I do today." The armour was a darkened silver, matching part fo Neldor's scales. His hand rested on his sword, knowing today was going to be active. "I daresay we'll need you though before nightfall." Smiling he headed out of the house with her.

Auraka smiled slightly, eyebrow rising though somewhat glad that Drannor would end up being the same rank as him. He looked up to Drannor, the older elf from Taror as if he was the father figure he never had. Despite him only being a few years younger. Then he had a thought “Sahar’s going to become a queen as well...” He blinked at the news, somewhat delighted by that fact. She would be the gentle ruler, close to the people while Drannor would overlook the harder things and no doubt try and keep the worst of the facts hidden from her. But knowing Sahar, she would know anyways. A centaur approached and Auraka nodded, somewhat surprised once more. It wasn’t often you met a half human half horse face to face.
Sahar chuckled lightly and nodded sadly, planning on leaving the children with one of the neighbours she trusted. She hated leaving them behind, but once they flew to war...well it was no place for a child. “Shall I be fighting? Or healing?” she asked Drannor, matching his long strides. She knew she was a better healer then a fighter and with Cyara on her side, she was yet to meet something she couldn’t heal. Other then bring back the dead that was. But, if they needed the numbers what, she’d be there fighting just as strongly.

"In the bigger fight the one where we all fight, well no, you won't be fighting. We're going to need a fair few healers, if I have any idea how many warriors there are in the forest." Drannor chuckled though. "Find a seat, I'll find you after the match. I'm judging it." He chuckled. "Not that I think there wil be much to oversee really. They're all good fighters." Though beating Laura and Zaelphar combined was almost impossible to deal with.
Gem She laughed. "Course she will be. Theya re getting married after all." There was nothing for them to worry about though. She bowed her head in a clear sign of respect for her parents when they got closer. "Queen Laura, King Zelphar," she said. "I think its time," Zelphar said. Though their faces seemed calm, there was a clear anticipation running from them.

Auraka chuckled, having forgotten that they had not seen him fight before. They would be in for a a surprise, he had never lost a battle he had tried in. Though, he knew he would restrain himself from hitting them on the head as he had Gem. Another chuckle left him at the memory, she reminded him at every chance. Drawing his brand new sword, this would be the first time he had to try out Gem’s handy work. It’s balance was perfect, one and a half hands. It’s deep purple colour, Rasjar’s scales, gleamed in the morning sun. At the word fight, his head snapped up and landed upon Laura with a fond smile. “Shall we dance, my queen?” he asked with a grin, leaping at her with a balanced stride and began a series of complicated movements which he had perfected years before.

Drannor entered after they did, knowing what he had to do. This would be the last fight he had to oversee. Gemw as smiling, waiting. "Why aren't you using your twin blades, father?" she asked. "You rarely fight with only one." "I wasn't too sure that you two could handle them. I know you can, but what about Aruaka?" "We'll manage. It's not a challenge, fighting only one of your swords," she retorted. Everyone chuckled as the other blade appeared, its sheath attaching itself to Zelphar's waist. "Draw your swords," Drannor called. The three of them nodded, and out came the four swords. Gem's eyes were fixed on her father, waiting. "Fight!" Gem leapt forwards at her father, blocking one blade with her silver sheild which had a white dragon on its face, while blocking the other with Corellon.

“We shall,” Laura replied. She laughed though; knowing that no matter how this ended up, this was going to be fun for her. Centuries upon centuries she had had when it came to mastering her blade. The perenite and gold wrought sword Aloiene slashed out towards him, as her daughter once again met her father’s swords quickly. Soon though Gem and Zelphar were fighting in earnest, and it was clear that neither was able to find a hole in the other’s strategies. They were certainly evenly matched. Laura herself met Auraka’s sword time and time again with her own shield, knowing there were many things that she knew that Auraka likely didn’t. “To pass you have to disarm both of us, and that means both of Zelphar’s blades,” she laughed and Gem leaned backwards avoiding both emerald swords again.

Zarken gleamed brightly, its green shadows seeming almost black in the light. The smile stayed upon his face, having fun at the chance to spare with someone who was near his own level. Now, he wasn’t over confident with his abilities, he knew that would mean he would lose. He just knew things, practised them for hours on end until the movements glided from his palm without thought. Their swords clashed, the impact noisy and Sahar gasped in the crowd quietly, not used to seeing such talents fighters. She, of course, had watched Drannor several times but even that had been nothing to this. “I know,” Auraka said, sensing Gem behind him. The smile grew larger, a plan forming. “Gem,” he muttered quietly “switch on three.”
