Sahar smiled, nodding in approval as she followed him and sat where she was directed to with a sigh, waiting for the celebration to begin as she bounced the chatting twins on her lap. It seemed, they had to much energy in them today.
Auraka kissed her back, stepping out behind her and nodding to the talking guard. He knew them all by name, having spent hours upon hours with them. They all, or at least most, were loyal to both him and Gem. They knew Gem to be a good person, not at all like other princess and knew Auraka to be a strong, good leader. They were proud to call them their leaders. "Why are we waiting here?" he asked Gem quietly, whispering into her ear.

“Wait and see,” she chuckled. They would not have to wait all that long this time. Very shortly the doors opened, and simultaneously the two lines of Hawkblades drew their swords. Gem blinked. Then as one of the dragons hummed louder than the rest, she started walking down the aisle. At the same time as she moved, her parents appeared each on one side of the double staircase, and moved down towards the raised platform in the middle. As Gem and Auraka moved though, the swords raised to let them past. When they reached the raised area, Nuala escorted Gem to one of the thrones, the slightly taller one, and then Auraka to the one next to it. Laura and Zelphar were both carrying something. Each one bore a crown. One had many stringy bits of light metal attacked to it and was decorated with a massive ornate butterfly on both the front and back. The other was simpler. It was pure silver and the front was woven intricately like a snake skin. This was the one for Auraka.
Auraka flashed a small smile, waiting the short time they were told to. Doors opened, guards leaving the doorway and drawing there swords. His pace followed Gem slowly, eyes flickering around the move despite only his legs moving. Gem's parents appeared, moving to the platform in the middle of the room and Auraka ducked slightly, so not to have his head chopped off by the lifted swords, a force of habit. As they reached the platform, Auraka continued to follow get and settled into the slightly lower throne. His eyes darted towards Laura and Zelphar who were carrying something. Surprise fluttered though him as he noted the crowns, landing upon the one which was clearly for him and waited, following Gem's lead.
She smiled though as once more, Nuala came forwards. Why it was that she was the one that did all these things? It was a little odd for her to be doing every single thing, but she knew it was needed. Nuala now spoke, talking to her and through her the audience. "Will you solemly promise and sweare to Governe the People of this Kingdome of Nuban and the Dominions thereto belonging according to the Laws and Customs agreed upon at the formation of this realm?" "I solemnly promise so to do." "Will you to your power cause Law and Justice, in Mercy, to be executed in all your judgments?" "I will." Nuala smiled at her for a moment and then walked towards Laura, taking from her the crown that waited from her. This she carried over to Gem, who bowed her head as Nuala carefully put it in its rightful place. Once this was done, she walked to stand beside Auraka. It was his turn.
Auraka smiled slightly at Nuala, who was once more leading the celebration. Eyes, as all others in the room, was trained upon Gem as the crown was rested upon her brow. He straighted up slight, trying to keep his nerves in check and met Nuala's eyes evenly. It was his turn now, and he awaited to be asked the questions. "Will you solemly promise and sweare to Governe the People of this Kingdome of Nuban and the Dominions thereto belonging according to the Laws and Customs agreed upon at the formation of this realm?" "I solemnly promise to do so." "Will you to your power cause Law and Justice, in Mercy, to be executed in all your judgments?" "I will." "I promise."
Nuala smiled at him for a few moments before turning to Zelphar. Taking the other crown from him she smiled and carefully placed it on Auraka's head. Turning to face all the assembled elves that were looking on happily, she moved away from the new king and queen, so she was not blocking either from view and said, in a loud and clear ringing voice, "I now present to you our new monarches, Queen Gemstarzah Vestelle Hawksong and King Auraka Lamya Hawksong." Gem smiled, taking Auraka's hand and stood up, seeming to loom over the crowd of elves as they all started to cheer.
His head bowed slightly, allowing the well crafted crown to rest perfectly upon his brow. A small smile appeared, glad for the moment to have past. His eyes flickered over the crowd, surprised by the cheers and spotted Sahar's beaming face into the crowd. Squeezing Gem's hand gently, they stood grinning down at their people. Little did they know, history would be filled with their names. Sahar smiled, glad to see the relief upon Gem and Auarka's faces, she wondered how many sleepless nights Auraka had, had twisting over these facts. She knew not many others would see it, but being a close friend to the new king she knew the signs. The twins on her laps clapped there little heads, giggling slightly and she smiled down at them. They were growing up so quickly.

Glenawing
Glenawing raised and eye brow and walked foward looking at them both he said sarcasticly, "Great, Gem as Queen never saw that coming." he rolled his eyes and looked at them both and said calmly, "Listen both of you clearly, you both may be the rulers but that doesn't give you absolute power. You still must listen to the council and obey on what we decide and if you go against the council in a rash and stupid descision it won't be good for the either of understand? With power comes the wieght of other's lives which are not to be played with. Play with your own not others."
He looked at them both, "Now Gem you may be Queen don't think I'm going to start bowing, first a friend then a ruler you are to me and Auraka same goes to you minus the friend part." He paused, "I Glenawing Firesword PLedge my alegence to the elven state and the people I will help you both govern to the best of my abilities, yet if the state is in danger I will act on my own to preserve our independence and freedom.

"I'm aware of all of that, Glenawing," Gem replied. "You don't think my parents have pretty much taught me everything I need to know when it comes to this position?" They had, and she knew that she sure had tired of all their different things they trained her to do.
She smiled though when he made the oath, though she kept it in mind after hearing the end of it. She said nothing of that though, knowing that if he thought he would get around her, well, he would have another thing coming. She would know if he planned such things.
"Thank you Glenawing."

Glenawing
"Reminding one of duties doesn't hurt." he grinned. "I'm sure you were picking apart my qoute, you still haven't gotten too good at hiding your emotions or I just know you too well Gem." he laughed, "Good luck, have fun and don't do anything stupid." he walked back and towards other Generals, nobles and greeted them. He saw Keya and smiled, "Hey Keya." he walked over to her and put his arm around her and smiled, "You made it." he looked odwn at her smiling.

"I don't have to hide my emotions," Gem replied, watching as he walked away. It could have been worse, she knew.
Keya laughed. "Not without trouble. Some of the people here are still against me being here. Though I think someone else is here as well who i was not expecting. My own mother. Father's not though, and I think that's the one that is more important to all of you." Sometimes she wished she was not who she was. It was getting annoying, constantly being watched by the people around her at the moment.

Glenawing
He turned around as he heard Gem, "Some things you don't want to reveal, especilly doubt in the ones closest to you as you had just done before." he calmly turned back to Keya, "Your mother's here?" confused and looked around if he could spot her. He laughed slightly at the last part, "If I saw your father here he most likely would not live too long." ad then he put his hand on her cheak, "Don't worry of what others think Keya mostly everyone has accepted you and that's what matters."

"Trust me, my father is not that stupid to try and come after us here. He knows he is not welcome here." Her eyes met Gem's for a second before she looked away. "So she's the next one to fight my father? Wonder whether she'll be able to beat him, its not going to be easy for her, when Rhothilion gets involved." She sighed. That was not all that fair on her cousin, and she knew it. "I don't doubt her abilities, I know they'll fight eventually."

GLenawing
Glenawing shurgged, "It could be anyone but she is the one mainly going to fight him." he lookde at and Keya and sighed, "I only fear that her gift will fail when fighting then she will have an even greater of a challenge ahead of her." he paused, "She may be a good warrior but she still hasn't been in as many battles as others she doesn't have much experiance with war and the curse of forsight is something to used sparingly knowing the future is not always good you can become paranoid and try to stop it though it is not in your power to do so."

"I think she likely knows that, like I myself do. I rarely take into account things that I see, unless i know there is something important to be seen to."
Keya chuckled. "Each to their own though, when it comes to that talent. Not all of us can use it wisely. I know some who have done what you said and well, things did't end well for them."
She shook her head in annoyance at such thoughts. "Though I know there are some things that she should know, they are not anything of immediate importance."

Glenawing
He raised his eyebrow, "Like what my future?" he hated the idea of someone knowing what he would do later on in the future. Keya had told him a bit of his future and unfortunately he wanted to know more of what would happen in the future; would he live the war or would he die? He wanted to know of what his life would be after the war and after his death. "Tell me more of my future Keya, our future." he was going to propose to her soon but not just yet. he put his arm around her and kissed her.

"As I said, the future changes. What i see now, could change in the future. I'm not going to say anything out here though, I don't like a lot of people knowing what I see. Though I know you will live to see the end of my father's reign."
It was not much, but it would be enough for him, she hoped at the moment. She cared about him, but right now, in such a crowded place, there was so little she could say.
"The things she has to know though are not to do with the future, as in my gift anyway. Nor have they anything to do with you, Glenawing."
She smiled at him.

Glenawing
Glenawing smiled and put his arms around her waist, "Well I'm not considered to be one of those people now am I?" he smiled and said calmly, "You want to go home I'm tired plus it's getting late and I need to go to the human lands early do some scouting of your father." he yawned slightly. He looked at her waiting an answer. He cracked his jaw nad rolled his shoulders releasing stress which he had a great deal of he needed to make sure his spot in the council would not move with Gem and Auraja now as leaders.

"No you're not. Though I guess there are some things I should really keep to myself. Only as they don't concern other people." She smiled. Those were few things, but she knew that she had the right to keep personal things to herself. "I only say something if I know if it affects someone else." She smiled though at him, knowing she was doing the right thing for once. "I guess we should head home." If he was getting tired, well they might as well, she knew that it had been a long day for all of them.
