She chuckled, knowing this was a hard fight for them to beat as one team. However she did trust Auraka and when he said to, she switched with him without question. Then was face to face with her mother all of a sudden and Auraka would have to deal with her father's twin blades.
The swords still clashed but soon it was clear that she was easily outdoing her own mother. All of a sudden Alioene fell to the ground with a loud clatter. her mother stopped when it did, knowing she was out of the fight now.
Gem now turned to help with her father.

They switched perfectly, not even stumbling over each other despite being close. Hearing the dull thud of a sword hit the sand, he knew that Gem had disarmed her mother, a quick glance allowed him to see her beside him, ready to help disarm her father. "Well done," he said quietly, feet carried him forth as he parried with the king. A simple way to win, even with two swords. One distract, that being Auraka, the other disarm, being Gem. He knew Gem would be familiar with the practice, but it wasn't often you faced a skilled, two sworded fighter.

The white sword met her father's several times, but never did it seem to make a difference. Zelphar seemed to be ready for everything that they threw his way. Not that it mattered, eventually, one of the swords hit the ground, one of the two green ones.
Zelphar smiled at her. "You're learning."
"That I am." Didn't take long to take out the other one.
"Match over!" Drannor called. Both of Gem's parents were smiling. They seemed very pleased by the things that happened here in their ring.
"You both did well," Zelphar said. "I've never fought you before, Auraka."
"Nor have I ever fought with you, Gem," Laura said. "I see why Zelphar seemed proud of you for beating him. You're a lot better than him now."

Auraka smiled, bowing his head to the king. "You fight well," he told him, shaking his hand firmly before turning to Laura, arm snaking around Gem's waist as he kissed her sweaty cheek. "She's improved a lot lately," he chuckled "I think she plans on trying to get me back for that knock on the head." He flashed a smile, ruffling her blonde locks gently.

“Wouldn't be any surprise to us,” Laura replied. “I may not have seen it, but I heard about that. She is getting good, though I know she favours her little gift.” “Actually, I didn't use it once during the fight. I saw the entire fight last night, there was no need therefore for me to use it.” Drannor chuckled. “She certainly did not use it, I was focused on all four of you during the duel.” Zelphar chuckled. “You're getting too good at that, I used to be able to tell when you were in my head, Drannor.” “I try to improve all the time,” Drannor replied with a chuckle. "Well i guess we'll meet you over at Ielvos hall," Laura replied.
Gem nodded. "You coming Auraka? We need to get changed before we head over." She smiled. They had passed the test that every new leader had to. She was pleased about that, very much so.

Auraka bowed his head to Laura and Zelphar, giving Gem's hand a gentle squeeze before nodding. "We should get going," he agreed, leading her gently away from the sand field.
Sahar sighed, glad that the fighting was over. Standing, child on each hip, she worked her way down the stairs and towards Drannor. "That was... interesting," she said after a moment, unsure what else to call the complicated display of weapons. Despite being a rider, she knew she was one of their weakest blade fighters. She preferred her magic and her healing for the better. Anyways, Cyara was better then many others and would defend her rider to death and beyond.

Drannor chuckled as she came down to him. It was hard for him not to help her, but he knew that while he was on duty he couldn't be the father he was. It was getting very annoying that fact. "All of them would beat me, even with my gift. Though one day I'll have to fight Gem again, though with both of our gifts working. Wonder how that would turn out."
"You challenging me?" Gem called over her shoulder and got a nod in responce from her cousin. She laughed though as they headed back towards their house. Once they got there, she took all her armour off and got changed into a long pale light lime dress. It was beautiful and heavily embroidered. Her hair wove back from her face neatly, edge strands carefully braided in the middle of the back of her head.
Ashlere chuckled as she moved through the crowd after the fight. That had been some thing very interesting to watch. She hadn't known her uncle fought that way. "Never seen you fight with two swords," she teased. "I don't often do that," Zelphar replied, ruffling her black hair. She laughed. Then she headed off in another direction, searching for Faeron. She knew he would be here somewhere. Everyone had to be here today, it was mandatory. Finally she found him. "Faeron!" she called.

"That would be something to see," she said absently, kissing his cheek lightly and knew that he wanted to help but was unable to. "Come on dear, we best start heading over...is your duty done here?" she asked with a slight rise of an eyebrow.
Auraka chuckled easily along with Gem, loving the gentle sound of her laughter. Stripping from his armor, he set it neatly upon the bench for later tending. He cared for his armor almost as much as he did Gem, he chuckled at the thought. Washing his face with a wet cloth, he slowly began to change into the robes which had been made for him. They matched Gem's dresses colour, though instead of a gown it was a tunic and pants. A very 'royal' seeming cloak to settle over it. The beautiful and heavily embroidered cloth matched that of Gem's as well. Finished, he turned to study his wife. "Wow Gem," he said quietly, studying her. She looked everything she was meant to. "You look beautiful," he told her, hugging her for a moment.
The head snapped up, brown hair swinging around his face at the sound of her voice. Delighted to see her, he bounded forth and hugged her somewhat shyly. "Hey Ashlere!" he said, quietly. Still uncertain around others, but he still smiled brightly and slowly let her go from his tight hug.

She chuckled when he spoke. “Why thank you.” She smiled though. “You do as well you know, handsome.” It was not something she could help herself from saying at the moment. “I've been planning all of this for days, so I guess I knew how things would turn out today. We passed the test we had to by the way, in that duel. Good thing too had we not, it would have been delayed for a week, and would have had to fight again.” Gem knew though that it would not have gone that way though. “I told you we'd win.”
Drannor sighed. “Not till they are officially our king and queen,” he replied. “And after that, there's the people of Adurna to go help.” He looked at her with a smile. “Days get busy sometimes. Be glad you're not the one in my position. It can get quite tiresome at times.” And even he got tired of it, though not physically of course.
Ashlere chuckled as she hugged him as well. “Been busy over night. Today's the last time my mother has to do anything official.” she sighed, knowing what that meant. She knew of course, that it meant that her childhood was pretty much over, though she was still technically a child till she was twenty. Then she'd be a teenager, and finally an adult at fourty.

Auraka chuckled, finger tapping her nose gently. "But I knew we would as well, without the talent of the mind," he said gently, kissing her forehead. "Now, we better get going..less be be late to our own Coronation."
Sahar laughed quietly, shaking her head. "I think i'll leave that to you..having two children, being a healer and a house wife is more then enough thank you," she said, eyes dancing with amusement. "Our neighbor offered to care for Taeron and Kasinda for us..she'll take them from the Coronation," she said with a sigh.
Faeron nodded slightly, pulling back and shuffled awkwardly in place. "I..have to sit over there..." he said with a small gesture to the left where the rest of the children and nurses where sitting. But he made it seem as if he was pointing to the table beside it, not wanting her to know he was an orphan.

She chuckled. “Of course you did, we're only one of the best teams out there when it comes to a double duel. I have to admit, fighting my father like that was a challenge. Until we teamed up against him, neither of us were winning.” She smiled. “There was no chance I was going to find a loop hole in that offence.” there were some things though that could not be helped. She smiled though. Then she looked out the window. Pulling up outside was a white carriage, its contents completely obscured except for a small window on either side. Two white horses pulled it. “Time to go indeed.”
Drannor chuckled. “Good idea. Tonight's going to be busy for all of us. A lot of humans are going to be in need of a home to stay in if all goes well.” He smiled though. Things were only getting more busy, it would seem.
“Well, I guess I'll see you afterwards. Going to be bored waiting for the adults to all get back home tonight, seeing as none of us can go with them."

Auraka laughed, following her down the stairs and into the horse drawn carriage. This was it. Today, he became King Auraka. He laughed at himself, unable to believe it was about to happen. To him of all people. He smiled over at Gem, more nervous then he had been the day before.
Sahar smiled slightly, nodding in agreement. "That it is..." she said quietly and nodded once more "good things I keep those extra rooms clean aye?" She chuckled
Faeron nodded, backing away slowly and flashed a smile before disappearing into the crowd of bustling bodies.

This was going to be a good day for all of them, she knew, as she sat down where Nuala told her to. There was no time though for fun and games now. Her cousin was finally becoming queen, as they had all known she was going to be. She's only just found her seat, as had everyone else when one of the dragons who were around the room started to hum. That was Bizandra. Bjart's lower hum joined hers as Gaelira bellowed, announcing the arrival of the new king and queen.
Two carriages though pulled up, one containing Laura and Zelphar, the other with Gem and Auraka inside. Both Bizandra and Bjart were fully covered in their armour, unlike Rasjar and Gaelira. Zelphar and Laura entered before the two younger elves saw them, they would wait upstairs until the time came for them to come in. No one saw them heading up, they moved way too quickly through the other chambers. “You ready?” Gem asked as their carriage stopped. She knew this was it. There was no backing out now.
“Yes it certainly is love. At least we'll be able to take on a few of them at least. A lot of orphans will be amongst the children coming here.” He sighed heavily. “I've been there before, I was one of the gaurds who escorted her safely home the first time.”

Auraka's eyes where shut, blocking out the noises from the outside. But even he, the master of control, had trouble blocking the noise of three loudly humming dragons. The blue orbs flashed open, tinted with rings of darkness but he smiled. "As ready as I'll ever be," he said giving her hand a gentle squeeze and put a smile upon her face. He hid the nerves he felt, appearing every bit the strong leader he was told he would be.
Sahar rubbed his arm in comfort, a small sad smile upon her lips. "We shall help as many as we can," she said simply, knowing there was not much else they could do. "We can take as many as we can fit into our home...I can care for them," she smiled softly and kissed his cheek. "Now, let us be on our way?"

Drannor chuckled, "Come on," he said. It was time they got over there, they were not going to be late at all. Things could not start until he was there, as well as Gem and Auraka. After all, he had a few commands he had to give. With that he headed for the door, they did not walk far before he showed her the right hall to be in. The other Hawkblades followed his command, lining up in two lines down the aisle down the middle of the room. Every single one was wearing armour that had been polished as much as possible.
Gem smiled at him, leaning over and kissing him gently. "You'll be fine, after all, at first you only have to watch. I'm the one up first," she said. Then the door opened to the carriage and she got out. "Could you please wait here?" one of the gaurds at the door asked. She nodded as the other hurried inside.
