Gem sighed, she knew it was getting colder as the night drew on towards them. "Can we stop for the night?" she asked, yawning. She was getting tired, but she would recover soon enough. Not to mention she was getting very hugry, she hadn't eaten in days at the moment.

Auraka
He looked around them and then to Drannor, wanting to get her back behind safe walls but knowing it was almost useless to do so in the night. "Of course," he said, glad that he had brought a food pack though no tent. "Drannor...did you want to see if there is a cave around? Its going to be a cold one."
OOC: PLOT!!!! They spend the night in a cave...it snows them in cause its so cold. They don't return home for a few days and search parties are sent out. They don't find them, so they start losing hope...Sahar, being Sahar, worries about them all and gets Cyara to talk to Gaelira and Rasjar to find them, knowing they are worried as well. The three dragons find them...and have to find a way to get them out (cannot melt the snow, it would drown those inside...). Tehe!

He nodded. "Sure. Won't be long." He started running but then suddenly vanished as a large black eagle took to the sky. He'd changed form. "What the?" Gem was ever so surprised. She looked at Auraka. "That something from Taror?"

He blinked, staring after the bird and started laughing with a nod of his head. "Yes," he said with amusement "one may chose a land and a air animal. It seem's Drannor has chosen his." He halted the mare to a slow paced walk, knowing Drannor would be able to find them.

"What's the other one?" she asked. She was interested in hearing about these things which she did not know herself about Drannor's people. She knew he had the other form already, but she did not know what. "That's odd," she mused. "I can't see him when he's in one of these animal forms."
Drannor wheeled over the land having easily spotted a cave. Soon he was soaring back to them. he landed, almost causing the horses to spook, and phased back. "One not far from here."

"I don't know," he said thoughtfully "it is not normally common knowledge..most don't share so they will an edge on their opponent." "Most don't even chose them...sometimes it just happens as well, like in the middle of a battle, you might change to give you some advantage." He smiled slightly "I don't know much about them, I haven't changed yet," he admitted. He shrugged his broad shoulder, calming the mare with a gentle hand and nodded to Drannor. "Let's go," he said, gesturing for him to lead the way.

He nodded. Then he turned and headed in the direction of the cave. It was up higher in one of the mountains nearby, the entrance big enough to admit Gaelira, but no one bigger. "Here we are. I might go find some firewood."
Gem shrugged. "You'll be one though, some day, seeing as you're from there."

"Maybe," he said to Gem, unsure if he even wanted to be a shape-shifter. Nodding to Drannor as he left, he slid off the mare and stood beside Gem, lifting her gently before placing her on the ground lightly and holding her there with concern. "Can you stand?" he asked, slowly letting her go

"As I said before, no more broken bones," Gem said. She smiled, though, getting to her feet. She was a little unbalanced, but that was due to how weak she was at the moment. Her stomach rumbled and she blushed. "Not to mention, haven't eaten since they took me."

He watched her move carefully, ready to catch her in case she fell and frowned slightly with worry. "I'll have to go hunting," he said "we left so quickly we only brought what was in the pack..." He frowned deeper, remembering that she didn't eat meat and knew there was nothing edible on the path they had traveled. He buried though the packs, trying to find the last few trail bars. "These are all I have for now love..." he said handing them all to her, there was just a few left.

Drannor chuckled as he came back into the cave that he'd found, this time a eagle again. From his talons dropped several logs, but in his beak were a few things he knew that Gem ate. he deposited them on the ground somewhere safe, before phasing back. "I guess that beak does have its uses at the moment. Oh and Auraka, there's a few deer not far from here. Found them when I scouting." He grinned. "Not much else though that's eatable. River near too. So water's not hard to find for us when we go again. Found a quicker way back as well." He sighed. "I'm going to go keep an eye out. Be back later, there's a massive snow storm coming and I want to know where its headed." He was also leaving so Auraka could check the places where Gem's skin was still torn. He did not want to annoy himself at all. It wasn't easy being what he was. Auraka would understand why he was going.
Gem sighed, knowing this was going to be a hard trip. "It's fine Auraka." Smiling she ate quickly, not eating everything though. She wasn't too worried about her hunger this time. Things might happen overnight with what Drannor said was coming.

He nodded, knowing that there was more then the reasons voiced for him leaving. "Try bring some back," he said about the deer, guessing he would hunt at the same time.
After making sure Gem was settled, he got to work at starting the fire. Years in the field meant he could start one anywhere. So long as his materials did as they were told. "Come on," he muttered and lent back on his heels as the smoke turned to fire and sighed with relief. "Now, Gem," he said turning to her with a gentle smile "I know some of your wounds didn't close...I need to look at them." He looked at her for permission, knowing they were on her arms, stomach, chest and back mostly. He had already collected water, letting it boil slightly so that it was warm when he washed her wounds. Waiting for her to say yes, he sat.

"You don't have to ask," she told him. "I trust you too much." She smiled at him, though she knew that movements were painful for her. Somehow though, she would recover for all of this. The snow though was really going to make her cold though, no matter how good the fire was.
Drannor laughed as he went. "Will do."

He nodded to Drannor, smiling gently to Gem. "Good to know," he told her, wetting the clean rags and approached her quietly, and tugging what was left of her shirt down over her shoulder. It seemed a lot had been healed, but not anywhere near enough. Trying to remember what his mother had taught him, he got to work. Wiping the blood from her wounds, sealing them with the little herbs he had left. Leaving his work for a moment, he returned to the fire place and boiled a few things together. "Gem...some of these are deep," he told her, handing her a mug filled with strong tea. "Like...really deep," he said, face scrunching up with worry "I have to sew them together.." "Drink this...it will knock you out for a bit and make it so you can't feel it," he smiled at her encouragingly, gesturing for her to drink it.

She almost protested but shook it off. There was no chance she was going to be able to stand that happening. Most of what he was doing had not hurt, but she knew that idea would. She might have been able to stand being whipped and everything else, but anything more would make her faint.
Sighing, she took what he gave her and drank it. It worked almost instantly, and she slumped completely out of it.
