He nodded, holding her gently on his lap. "I understand...but, you must allow at least one guard with you at all times...I," he sighed "your people need you, more then me." "We can't have the next queen taken by them again can we?" he asked, searching her face for some response. Deciding upon something, he lent closer and allowed his lips to brush against her lightly bruised ones. Pulling back, he couldn't help the smile which landed upon his handsome features. "You have no idea how long I have wanted to do that," he chuckled.

"That I can allow, though it'll feel like I'm being stalked. They wont be needed when I'm in my house though. My parents are there. I'm safe there, always." She smiled at him. When he kissed her though, she managed to kiss him back, but not without wincing in pain from the movement. Everything still hurt. That was the annoying thing from all this. "Thank you, again."

He smiled warmly, noticing the wince. "Of course not, just when your out in the forest and things...maybe I could go with you, or Drannor if it makes you feel more comfortable," he suggested and smoothed her bruised cheek with a gentle finger. "Lets get you home eh? Gaelira's waiting, and we should know better then to keep a dragon waiting... especially Gaelira," he chuckled

Too right you shouldn't, Gaelira spoke in Gem's head making her gasp. Gaelira! Who else would be in your head? Certainly not that Drian character. I'm sorry for not helping you against him. He corrupted me too, Gaelira said. I could never blame you, Gaelira.
She smiled though. "Gaelira just spoke to me. Looks like she is waiting for us. Somehow she blames herself for the whole Drian issue."

He looked down at her in surprise, sensing her jump and looked around quickly for an attack but relaxing as she named Gaelira. "Doesn't surprise me, she was a right mess when I left her," he mused "its the only way I could get Rasjar to stay behind as well, I think he fancies her." He chuckled. Auraka! snapped an embarrassed voice in his head. "Oops.. I think he heard me..." he said sheepishly.

"I can only imagine. Things like this do stir them up." She sighed. "While I was in there, I had another vision. A moon dragon joined someone in Tel. We may still be able to keep them from Lindan Marcos clutches."
Drannor chuckled at her words , coming back into the clearing. His eyes were now as blue as her own, though a good deal more shiny. Gem's were still dull. "Yes, no matter how far we are apart, our dragons still hear and feel what we do," he said.

"I knew they did...but at such a distance...I was unsure," he explained and nodded slightly to Drannor in greeting. "Another dragon to the riders...great," he muttered, packing the first aid kit back onto his horse and gestured to Gem to approach. "Do you think you can sit on a horse for a while?" he asked her gently.

"You never know our luck," Gem said. She followed Auraka though easily over to where his horse was. "Easily enough, but not for a long time." She'd get sore after a while.
Drannor smiled. "We'll stop and rest a few times along the way. We wouldn't want you up there the whole way in one hit, that would get too hard for you. Just tell us if you want to rest."
"I will," she said.

"Good," he said, hands resting on her hips before picking her up gently and placing her on the quiet mare, mounting behind her and taking hold of the reins and allowed her to lean back against his warm chest. "Just make sure you do," he murmured into her ear, tugging his jacket gently around her for warmth.

She smiled, leaning back into him easily. It was clear she trusted him a lot. "At least this is not going to happen again." She sighed though as they started to move off. Drannor seemed on edge though. "There might be trouble soon. But if there is, you two keep going. I'll take care of it. It's not going to be easy for anything to beat me." Gem nodded. "Okay." Sure enough when they turned into one of the other open flats, a roaring torrent of fire came their way. Drannor shouted a world quickly, blocking them all from harm. "Go!" The yellow dragon snarled, coiling its head back, as Drannor rushed towards it. Soon its attention was completely on him.

A smile crept onto his maw as she lent back into him, glad at the least to say that had accepted his love for her. A sharp nod towards Drannor told him that he understood, knowing that the fighter would be more then capable with whatever flew at him. He paused, surprised to see the huge dragon. It literally had flown at Drannor. "Hang on," he whispered to Gem and knowing this would hurt her, but her safety was more important. He pushed the black mare forwards, urging her into a full length gallop. He knew once they reached the trees, they would be somewhat safer.

Drannor snarled as the dragon sent one foot swping at him and dodged quickly. "Don't you have a rider to find, dragon?" "My Rider is not of age yet, monster." That angered him and he knew it. The words though bounced off of him a second later, as he worked to get to a vantage point. This dragon would not give up, until he hid somewhere else, out of sight. "Coward," the dragon roared, but soared away.
Gem nodded, holding back any uncomfort from showing. Then Drannor was racing to join them. He seemed singed by the flames, but it was already vanishing from him. "He won't try that again, though I didn't kill him. Seeing as he said he's waiting for his rider to come of age."

He nodded his head, frowning slightly. "He was big," he said, pausing "I mean....bigger then even Gaelira." He tugged the horse back to a gentle lope, knowing the galloping pace was hurting Gem. A canter would be easier to sit with. "How old do you think it was?" he asked Gem and Drannor.

"I'd say a few hundred years older than her. Which is not something anyone of us was expecting. We all thought that Bizandra, Bjart and Rhothilion were the elders of the dragon race. Did you see how his body was armoured different to other dawn dragons that we all know? That means he is a Gaurdian. One of the most ancient dragons. Elemental, too. I wonder who he was searching for."
"I am not sure, so far I gleaned nothing from his mind. He'd better not show up again though."

"So long as its on our side," he muttered, knowing that if they went up against such a creature...things wouldn't end well. There was a slight chill to the air, making goose bumps rise on his uncovered skin. He smiled down at a snug Gem, having wrapped her tightly in his jacket. "Lets get back," he said "before it finds us again."
