He chuckled as he walked through the woods, towards Anthatal once more. Gem had sent him out to Adurna to see what damage had been done there. Sadly there was not much left of the small human hamlet, the humans hiding in Anthatal would be sad about that, but he knew that his people would help them rebuild their lives.
At the sound of beating wings though he stopped, waiting to see what it was. Likely one of the dragons, what else made that sound with its wings? Letting his mind reach out though for only a few seconds he stopped moving completely. One of the gryphons he knew was somewhere nearby. And he was just out of sight of Anthatal.

The large female gryphon flew down from the clearing after having spotted the elf form a far. She had been heading in the direction of the capital city with her most precious passion on her back. The young gryphon wanted to make sure that he would be safe and after talking to the human leader, Kalite had been very fearful for her chick. She didn’t want him to be anywhere near the other humans, but she knew the elf’s where much kinder and gentler creatures. Plus she had spotted one of her favorite elves and as she got closer the young female called out to him, “Drannor, hello big bother!” Letting out a call to heavens as she showed him the respect that her mother always had as she quickly landed there in front of him and nuzzled him with her beak in a affectionate manner. She kept Andol from being visible at the time though as she scoot back away from the elf and looked at him happily though spoke with a bit more seriousness, “Drannor it is nice to see you, but I have come here to talk about something, much more important and dear to me.”
Andol slid off her back, though stayed hidden behind his mother until told to come out, and the large female wrap her tail around him gently to make sure that she knew where he was and if he was still behind him. “Drannor, I know how much you and your people want the support of the gryphon’s in the war that is probably going to arise between elf’s and humans. I was flying to see your queen because I am willing to throw my support in behind you elves when you appeal to my mother… though I have a condition. “ She paused for a moment again to let him think about what was going on here and what her sudden intrusion could be about, “Though I knew that you as my brother and someone who my mother trusted you so much… then I could trust you too. I have need a promise form you… no… not just from you, but form every elf… Andol please come out.”
The young man then appeared form around the other side of the gryphon, only to be pulled close back to the gryphon by her large claw. She held him close to her large feathered chest as she settled down. She looked over at the elf, as her large claw held Andol to her chest in a almost hug, as she gentle ran her thumb through his hair to comfort him, “So what say you? Will you elves love and protect him as one of your own. He is my chick and my rider, and I want him to one day have friends, and a mate. I don’t want that to be among humans, I want it to be the elf’s… because I know he will be happier. So what say you?

A smile broke out onto his face as she came gliding down towards him. He waited for her to land before coming any closer. He could not believe his eyes. It was Kalite, the oldest of Kiara's chicks. Watching he noticed that she seemed to be hiding something as she first came towards him. It was clear to him though that she wanted to talk with him regardless of what ever that was.
“It's great to see you as well, Kalite. How have you been?” He chuckled patting her beak for a second, the way he always had when he met with Kiara. The gryphon's seemed to be the creatures that as a druid he was able to commune with most. No one really understood him when he talked about the other creatures that he was able to commune with at the moment.
Not that he really cared. Seeing her was nice indeed. Though when he heard the things that she said he could not help but chuckle. “you came to speak with the right person. Gem is actually preparing to head to the area Kiara and the rest of the gryphon's call home as we speak. I've had to teach her a lot about the different fomalities you gryphons have, but I know it's worth the effort.”
Again he paused. “I will do what I can for Andol. Children I have of my own now, so I know what it's like being a parent. Maybe we could head to Anthtal together?”

Kalite was indeed quite happy to see her old friend, though she knew that there were more important pieces of business to discuss while they where there. She worried constantly about the war, but it was simply not just because of what it could do to her species, but what it could do to her Andol. She had about one month after she had found Andol, gone into heat for the first time and had mated with many male gryphons, and so there had not been any reason as to think that she would not have had children. Yet she had not been successful in getting pregnant and it had been Drannor that had told her she was indeed, not fertile. So ever since that day she has not let her Andol out of her site for very long, and it was since then that she started to treat him as though she was her own chick. It was the reason she was so protective, since she would never be able to have a child… he was her child, and so her motherly instinct come out to make sure that he was safe, and lived the happiest and fullest life that the young man possibly could.
“Climb back on my back now Andol…” The gryphon lowered herself and let the young man walk around and then climb up on the gryphons back, as she extended a wing out when he walked around, blocking the path between Andol and the elf. The look in her eyes said ‘I know my mother trusted you with us… but I can’t trust you with my one and only chick…’ Andol truly was her most precious possession, though she planned to let him get near the elf if the other male wanted to get to know the young man. Yet not until they were safe somewhere inside of the city, and so once Andol was up on her back she looked at the elf and said, “Alright you lead the way to where you want for me and my little one to stay while we are in the capital.”

"Time changes people in ways you would not imagine, Kalite. I've changed in a few different ways. I seem to be able to connect with the gryphons more than I once could. Not to mention I can become a wolf and other things at will. That is what it menas to be a druid, which i am one of right now."
he chuckled though as he headed off towards the city, knowing that they would be safe one inside the walls. "Try not to annoy any of the dragon's alright? Especially not Neldor. He won't be pleased with me for bringing you both here, but i am sure he understands why."
Soon they reached the walls and the gates swung open to admit them. "Welcome to Anthatal, Kalite, Andol."

The female gryphon laughed as she heard the words of her elven brother. She even came up next to him and poked him in the back a little bit with one of her front claws, "Yes I know that silly. I mean you just told me about it... though that is quite instresting. We will have to talk about it more later." Yet she could sense that there was somthing differnt about him... it put her on edge almost, and so she asked them as they began there walk along towards the city, "Somthing seems differnt about you, could you tell me what it is?" The gryphon seem to back away a little bit as she waited for the answer, though it was not long before they where right at the city gates, but she would not go in until the answer was given.
As they entered the city that was full of so many people the female could sense Andol's unesay as he seemed to be nuzzling her and literally trying to disapper into her back as he ducked lower. The one thing that he could do was to hold onto gryphon, and try and hide himself in her back feathers, "Don't worry Andol... they won't get near if you don't want them to." The way the female gryphon seem to stare at any passerbye who got to close... it was quite doubtful that anyone would even be foolish egough to try. Kalite then looked at Drannor and asked him, "So where are you taking us... are we going to see Gem, or will you be able to handle it. I would like you to get to know my chick more, but that is going to have to be somewhere in privite. He needs a friend and I want you to be that for him.... can you do that Drannor?"

"While what I am is accepted by the elves here, I'd still rather not tell you around the others. Perhaps we could head over to where I live. Then I will tell you, once we are inside." The Taror elves were not always trusted here, but he had earnt their respect after all the years he spent protecting the walls with his men.
Turning, he headed towards one of the bigger houses, knowing Sahar and the children were not home, he couldn't hear either of the kids, and Sahar was always where they were at the moment. Opening the door he headed in, making sure there was enough room for Kalite to get in as well.
That done, he headed into one of the other rooms, his study so to think. A big black and silver head looked down at them. "Who's this, Drannor?" asked the dragon.
"Neldor, this is Kalite one of Kiara's chicks."
he snorted and turned away, it was enough for him.
Sighing, Drannor turned to face her. "A predator I've become, Kalite. I hunt not for meat though as you do, but for something else. The blood of others is what keeps me alive, but I hunt not gryphons, humans, dragons nor elves but things like bears and foxes and things. Nor do I kill, though most vampires like myself would."

The female gryphon as they walked through the city stayed in her usal defensive mode, and was quite gald when they headed in the direction of the elves house she felt more comforntable esepecially when it came to keeping Andol safe. That was when they reached the house that was near bye and where able to enter into it. Yet she was supirsed by the sudden apperance of there being a dragon in there, "You never said that you had a dragon Drannor..." I was obvious, by the way that she spoke that she didn't mind the dragon being around, but she would have wanted to known about it being there. It would have helped her know how better to defend her little chick if they time was needed.
Of course it was the instant that the elf began to talk that there was a fire in her eyes dispite what she said... all she heard was the word predotor and she knew exactlly what she was. The female gryphon reached towards her back and plucked Andol off of it, causing the young man to let out a yelp as she pulled him around and held him close to her chest again and began to back away growling. She covered over the view of the young man with a wing, "STAY AWAY FORM MY CHICK YOU HEAR!!!!" She was obviously in attack mode and was ready to strike at just moment, or just anything that would give her a reason. She held Andol close to just like she had before, but this time the young man was suspended off the ground, so that she could fly off with him in this positon at any moment. It was more protective becuase he was bascially straddling her wirst.
Her growling contiuned to get worse and worse, becuase she wondered if this was a trap and the dragon would try and kill her to get to Andol... "Is this what you brought me hear into the city, to feed form my chick with your vampiric desires. Is your dragon the same way, are you going to feed me to him?" It was obvious he had lost all of her trust, over this, but it was becuase she was so protective over Andol was all. It would just take the wrong thing for her to strike...

"I'm no different to what I was!" he protested. "I told you, I don't hunt anything that can talk in a language I understand, nor does Neldor and he understands both of you perfectly well." He groaned. "I've alwaus been a predator, Kalite, just different, a meat eater back in those days. I never hurt those close to the gryphons. Else I know Neldor would not be able to save me from Kiara's wrath if I had." After he stopped talking he seemed to turn to stone. In her mind he said, 'If you really don't trust us, go. We won't stop you, Kalite, nor Andol.'
"Neither of us would ever hurt you or Andol, its not who we are," Neldor added. "you know my rider better than I even do, Kalite. Is he really someone you think would be able to change so much and hurt either of you? If I know my rider, and I know him quite well now, then you'll know as well as I do that he has not changed at all." The dragon sighed, and though it was a little loud the noise, it was clear that he knew what he was talking about when it came to his rider. "I would not have chose him if there was any chance he was the kind of person you are thinking he is."
